Conclusion
Good PD matters. The new SATED tool can be used by district leaders and teachers
alike to help provide meaningful, developmentally appropriate, differentiated PD for
teachers at all levels of teacher-stage development. Given choice and options within
teachers’ zone of proximal development (Vygotsky, 1978), teachers can help to
determine those things about which they need to learn more to solve the challenges
they are currently experiencing in their classrooms. Choices and options encourage
reflective habits that help teachers to become more proficient at teaching and to
transform their teaching to exceptional teaching. Teacher growth ultimately means
                             student growth.
