                               Three Powerful Avenues for

                                      Members’ Expression

he exceptional talents, knowledge, and experience of Delta Kappa Gamma
Tmembers are among the Society’s most important resources as our key women
educators seek to foster professional and personal growth, promote excellence in
education, and make an impact worldwide. With the recent introduction of the
Leadership Discovery Centre, DKG now has a powerful troika of avenues for
members to share their expertise and inspire others: the Bulletin publication (journal
and magazine formats); the DKG Art Gallery; and the Centre.
Entering its 90th year of publication, the Bulletin publishes in two formats.
Original academic articles appear in its journal format, subtitled International
Journal for Professional Educators and published online three times per year. More
personal and practical articles related to education and the DKG experience appear
in the Bulletin’s magazine format, subtitled Collegial Exchange. The magazine is
published two times per year and is mailed to every member.
Established in 2010, the online DKG Art Gallery features members’ art
in a wide variety of categories. Visual art encompasses both 2D and 3D pieces:
photography, acrylic, charcoal, colored pencil, graphite, mixed media, pastel, pen
& ink, printmaking, and watercolor, as well as basketry, ceramics, jewelry, quilts,
sculpture, textiles, and woodcarvings. Members may submit poems, essays, and
short stories in the writing category, and the performance art areas include dance,
dramatics, filmmaking, music, original composition, and oratory. If a member wants
to blend one or more categories (for example, combining a poem with a photograph),
            multimedia submissions are welcomed.
The Leadership Discovery Centre, launched in late 2022 and still evolving,
provides “A World of Opportunity” for educators interested in learning more about
and developing or enhancing skills in leadership. Although the Centre includes
external resources to share leadership tools
            and programs that DKG recommends,
members also have the opportunity to submit
            “leadership media”—videos, PowerPoint
            presentations, podcasts, training plans,
            articles, and book reviews—to promote
            exploration of leadership topics.
               Members’ talents, knowledge, and
experience–a powerful three-fold gift to the
            profession—have three powerful avenues
            for expression!

See page 46 for information on submitting
to any or all of these three “avenues” for
                 professional and personal growth!
