Since 1960, DKG International has benefitted 1,029 women in 122 countries
who have received awards totaling $3,739,250. The numbers are impressive. These
scholarships changed the lives of the women who received them. We can imagine
how many of these recipients and their work have positively impacted people
worldwide.
How can we help?
The funds that sustain these awards are donations. Most
of the funds are proceeds donated from chapter fundraising
events; other donations come from individual DKG members
and private donors. Through their generosity, DKG members
honor the fifth of our seven Purposes: “To endow scholarships
to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate
study and grant fellowships to non-member women
educators.”
Today, more than ever, women need our support through
World Fellowship. Providing for these women is providing
for many more people who will directly benefit through the
applied knowledge these awardees will eagerly put into action
on their return home.
