         Bound for the “Big Easy”!

cheduled for July 12-16, the DKG 2022 International Convention in New Orleans
S—often called the “Big Easy” — is approaching quickly. Register for the con-
vention and secure your hotel reservation at www.dkg.org/events. The convention
agenda is packed with speakers and sessions, providing a variety of opportunities
from which you can select. Electing new international officers and vot-
ing on proposed amendments to the governing documents are Soci-
ety business matters that will take place at the convention. Every
DKG member has a voice, so make your vote count by attending
        the convention.

Enjoy networking with women from across the globe while enjoy-
ing the sights and sounds of an exciting city! Attendees are encouraged to
bring family and friends to experience the city as DKG members participate
in the Society’s first in-person convention since 2018. Many activities are
available throughout New Orleans, such as the Audubon Aquarium of the Amer-
icas, the National World War II Museum, and a steamboat ride on the Mississippi. A
walk around Jackson Square is a must. Tours of Mardi Gras World can give visitors an up-close and personal

experience of the floats and costumes; purchase a ticket to the DKGIEF event to be held there to enjoy it with
        other convention attendees.
Each member is also invited to engage in the convention events by becoming a volunteer. Sign-Up Genius will
be utilized to offer members a variety of ways to be involved in the success of the convention; visit the Events
page on the DKG website to find the link. Consider signing up to work at registration and meet new friends. Be
a table decorator or hostess — or both. Share your smile as a hospitality volunteer or room monitor — or be
willing to help wherever you are needed. Won’t you consider being a volunteer for the 2022 DKG International
        Convention?
Check the DKG website at www.dkg.org to stay updated on what is happening at the convention. View a

video message from President Becky Sadowski, read the convention blog, reserve your hotel room, and register
for the event. Mark your calendar for July 2022 to be in the Big Easy. See you there!

        DKG Convention App Opens Soon!

cheduled tentatively for a mid-March release, the convention side of the DKG App
Swill help attendees to stay up to date with the latest information and to interact with
other registered attendees. The app itself will use the same protocols — including the

login process — as it did in 2021 and the years prior. Available features will again allow
members to view the agenda, post on the discussion board and the photo feed, view
        speaker information, and more!
As we move toward convention and details are solidified, additional features and
content will be made available on the app. Look for gamification opportunities, read the
proposed amendments to prepare for voting, and interact with fellow attendees ahead of
        and while attending the convention!
