DKG INTERNATIONAL EDUCATORS FOUNDATION COLUMN
Women Honoring Women
nternational Women’s Day is March 8, 2024. In conjunction with this event, DKGIEF is
Ilaunching a fundraising initiative to support its mission of educating the world. Will
you consider making a $25 donation to honor a woman who has had a significant impact on your life or career?
For each $25 donation received between March 1, 2024, and April 15, 2024, DKGIEF will send the donor a
specially designed card and pin to present personally to the woman being honored.
The UN established International Women’s Day in 1977 to recognize women for their achievements without
regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic, or political. The day is celebrated
yearly in many countries worldwide and focuses on a theme. The 2024 theme—”#inspire inclusion”—is focused
on closing the digital divide and increasing the representation of women and girls in science and technology.
DKG programs support the aspirations and achievements of women from around the world. DKGIEF, through
its philanthropy, supports future generations of women across the globe in their professional journeys to
becoming leaders in their communities. By donating to recognize someone who made a difference in your life,
you will be making a difference in the lives of many.
Donations may be made to any of the nine DKGIEF funds.
