Remembering, Being, Anticipating:

1929—2029 DKG Centennial Celebration

KG will be 100 years old on May 11, 2029! On this significant occasion, DKG is taking the opportunity

Dto celebrate the growth of the organization and the friendships formed across DKG’s past, present, and
future.
To that end, the Centennial Celebration Ad-Hoc Committee is announcing the launch of the Centennial
Celebration Contribution Campaign. Beginning May 11, 2025, in honor of DKG Founder’s Day, the Centennial
Celebration Committee asks every member to contribute a symbolic $19.29—a nod to the year of DKG’s
founding—to the Centennial Celebration Fund. These funds will go toward a grand gala event to honor DKG’s
100 anniversary at the 2029 International Conference in Austin, Texas.

Contribute $19.29 because…
• YOU are a woman educator.
• YOUR mentor has influenced YOU as an educator.
• YOUR chapter is outstanding.
• YOUR mother, daughter, aunt, niece, or next-door neighbor is a DKG member.
• YOU or someone you know has received a DKG scholarship or leadership training.
• YOU or someone you know has held an office.
• YOU or someone you admire attends chapter meetings.
• YOU have fostered a new educator/new member.

• YOU want this POWERFUL ORGANIZATION to thrive for another 100 years.
• YOUR hero(es) may be honored.
• YOU have attended or want to attend a state or international meeting.
• YOU have been an officer or committee member.
• YOU are proud of our shared heritage and are eager for our future.

To make a contribution, sign in to DKG.org and head to Events > Centennial Celebration and click the

“Contribute Here” button. Members are also encouraged to check out the short Centennial Celebration videos
detailing DKG’s history throughout the years. The next video about the 1970s launches on May 11 alongside the
campaign. These videos are perfect to share at chapter meetings or spread on social media. Members can make
contributions year-round and are encouraged to contribute multiple times.
