unlock their academic potential and improve educational outcomes. Social and
                                    emotional competencies have been associated with academic and behavioral
                                    successes as well as being a protective factor for at-risk populations. Caring
                                    for the social emotional and behavioral well-being of students, and of the
                                    educators and professionals who educate and support them, is all the more
                                    critical as schools, educators, families and students confront the challenges
                                    of learning during a national health crisis. (para. 1–2).

                                                               Conclusion
                                As teachers, we want the best for the children we teach. We do not teach children
                             academics only; we also teach them skills for success in life. By keeping children
                             in the classroom and teaching SEL skills, we are better able to reach each child and
                             make the schooling and learning experience the best possible for everyone.
