Dr. Heathre Palige has been an educator since 2001. Over the years, she has been featured in print media such as
the New York Times and the Brighton Sentinel for enriching activities for students, such as the Mock Citizenship
Ceremony and Core Knowledge Nights. In 2024, she was chosen for the Teacher Tuesday Spotlight by Colorado
Department of Education. She enjoys creating professional learning for her colleagues with a focus on social-
emotional strategies. In her spare time, she creates and facilitates programs at local and national conferences on a
variety of educational topics.

Dr. Richter is a retired middle school teacher and was Agriculture in the Classroom Teacher of the Year in 2011.
She was the editor and executive assistant for DKG ILSO and served on the DKG International Membership
Committee and Editorial Board. Richter was the Coordinator for the Summer Bridges Program. She was part of a
team receiving a $162,000 tech grant. She organized educational trips to Washington, DC, and New York. Richter
served as a cooperating teacher and mentor for University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign education students. She
continues to host international students and teachers, assists with equine therapy, and organizes teens to help others.
