2022 Proposed Amendments Mar/Apr 2022 | Vol. 79 No. 2
42 Section C. Consent is given to the
(cont.) use by The Delta Kappa Gamma
Educational Foundation of the
office of The Delta Kappa Gamma
Society in Austin, Texas, as its
office.
Section D. This enabling act
shall not be subject to revision or
amendment. The act shall become
void only upon the dissolution or
liquidation of The Delta Kappa
Gamma Educational Foundation as
provided for in Article VII of the
Articles of Incorporation of said
Foundation.
Rationale: An organization determines what needs to be in its Constitution. There is no requirement that the DKG Constitution
contain “an enabling act” to reflect the formal agreement between the Society and the Foundation. With the establishment a new
foundation (DKGIEF), the timing to eliminate this enabling act is even more appropriate. Fiscal Impact: None. Submitted by:
Cathy Daugherty, Janis Barr, and Grace Rodríguez-Mesa on behalf of the 2020-2022 Administrative Board with support from
Merry Lewis, chair, DKGIEF, on behalf of the Foundation. Administrative Board Recommendation: to adopt.

ballot, each voting member
of the international Exec-
utive Board shall cast one
(1) vote for a nominee for
each position to be filled
on the Board of Trustees of
the Delta Kappa Gamma
Educational Foundation.
Rationale: This action allows DKGIEF to set up its own nominating process for those serving on its Board of Directors, as it is an
independent entity from the Society. Fiscal Impact: None. Submitted by: Lynna Gene Cook, chair, on behalf of the Nominations
Committee, with the support of the DKGIEF. Administrative Board Recommendation: to adopt.
