How to Propose an Amendment
s a member of the Society, you own the governing
Adocuments. Do you have strong feelings about a change
needed in either the Constitution or the International Standing
Rules? If so, let your voice be heard. Here are the guidelines
to follow:
• Submit your proposal by the October 1 deadline by
going to your MyDKG tab on the website and clicking
on the Apply/Submit from the dropdown menu. Scroll
down to find the submission information and link to
the Google Form.
• Complete the form. Include the current wording and then state the change you want to make and how
the wording will read if passed.
• Use the word “Strike” for wording to be omitted; “Insert” for new wording; or “Strike and insert.” As a third
option, use the word “Delete” if proposing to delete a section completely.
• For the Constitution, include the Article Roman numeral and Section (ex. Article X, B.2.c).
• For the International Standing Rules, state the rule number and section number (ex. Membership 3.3).
• Include the rationale for the change. State how the proposed amendment will benefit the Society. (50
words or less.) Also include the financial impact.
• Complete “Submitted by” information; include your name and, if applicable, any international committee,
board/jury, state organization, or chapter you are representing.
• Include your email address, phone number, and date.
When attending any of the three international conferences, check out the Expo. An International Constitution
Committee member or representative will be there to take you through the steps and answer questions. We look

Leadership Discovery Centre: A World
of Opportunity
opefully you have visited the newly designed website and have noticed that
Hleadership resources are a mere click away on the Leadership Discovery
Centre tab on the website homepage. The Leadership Discovery Centre is designed to
provide resources and tools to empower and embolden members to seize opportunities
to lead more readily and more often in their everyday lives. The Leadership Discovery
Centre consists of DKG and Universal leadership resources. The DKG Society Resources are leadership tools
within DKG to further leadership skills. Universal tools are resources DKG recommends for expanding leadership
skills. Individuals may submit leadership materials, such as articles, conducted research, virtual presentations,
and more for publication consideration. Details regarding publication submissions will be featured under the
