hroughout the course of the 2024 DKG International
TConvention in National Harbor, Maryland, which was hosted
at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, the DKG
International Educators Foundation (DKGIEF) Board of Directors
offered numerous opportunities for members to support the
vision of “Giving to Educate the World.” In total, over $30,000

was raised from DKGIEF’s various fundraising efforts, which
included the Bobby McKey’s Dueling Pianos event, the Foundation
Silent Auction, the Emergency Fund collection, and the sale of
International Women’s Day and convention pins.
At the start of the convention week, DKGIEF distributed 800
complimentary convention tote bags displaying the Foundation
logo and vision to attendees. Members expressed their

appreciation for the tote bags as they juggled all their convention Members of the DKGIEF Board of Directors
materials. handed out flyers and tote bags to convention

An information table and a Silent Auction table were arranged
within the Marketplace, with DKGIEF directors present throughout the week to provide assistance and address
any inquiries. At the information table, members received fliers about the nine funds managed by the Foundation.
The flyers included QR codes that directed members to donate to the Area of Greatest Need and to engage with
the DKGIEF Facebook page. Meanwhile, the Silent Auction offered 23 items for competitive bidding, including
jewelry, artwork, handmade crafts, quilts, and more. The
