Their leadership will be instrumental as we work jointly to address the challenges and opportunities ahead. I am

confident that with their expertise and your continued support, DKG will achieve great things.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to my predecessor, Nita, whose guidance and support have been
instrumental during this transition. Her leadership has left a solid foundation for us to build upon, and I am
grateful for her continued support. I am also deeply grateful to HQ staff and our members for their patience and
understanding as I continue to learn the intricacies of DKG. Your dedication and commitment are what makes
        DKG so special.
Looking ahead, I am enthusiastic about collaborating with our 2024-2026 International President, Dr. Hall-
Maughan to accomplish her focus of Leading Women Educators — Impacting Education Worldwide with passion
and purpose. Together, we will strive to create meaningful and lasting change, guided by our shared values and

goals, and her leadership and vision are sure to propel us to new heights.
Thank you all for your warm welcome and for your ongoing dedication to DKG’s mission. We will continue to
achieve remarkable things and ensure that DKG remains a beacon of excellence and innovation in education. I

The author of the nominating form for the award noted the following: “Dr. Beverly Hall-
Maughan is an outstanding member and leader as evidenced by her impressive DKG resume
and educational accomplishments. However, it is her genuine care, concern, and enthusiasm
for meeting and focusing on others that [sets] Beverly apart. Her personality is evident in her

infectious smile which quickly radiates her approachability and relatability to members. She
encourages members to speak freely and to share their thoughts and ideas while she actively listens. Many are
the recipients of cards, notes, and encouraging words which aid her ability to inspire and boost confidence in
        others.”
The International Achievement Award is given annually by the Society to a leader who has merited recognition
