within walking distance from the convention hotel. The venue
prominently displayed the Foundation logo on the pianos
and video screens throughout the two-level space. They
also provided hors d’oeuvres offered by roving servers and a
delicious buffet to enjoy as the pianists performed hit songs,
primarily from the 60s and 70s. Guests enjoyed requesting
their favorite songs and singing and dancing along to the
music.
The interactive event allowed state organizations or
chapters to display a favorite motto or saying on the lighted
mirrors for the price of a tip. The management noticed the
spirit and energy of DKGIEF’s guests, sharing, “This is the most
enthusiastic group we have had in weeks!” The DKGIEF Board

event.
Besides these events, DKGIEF directors created two convenient ways for members to donate at any time.
First, an area was marked on the convention registration form where members could choose to donate to the
Area of Greatest Need. Second, those who purchased a beautiful 2024 DKG Convention pin featuring the Capital
Wheel from Award Concepts also donated to DKGIEF, as Award Concepts is donating half of the proceeds from
the sale of each convention pin to the Foundation.
The Foundation appreciates individuals, chapters, and state organizations for their generous contributions.
To show appreciation, individual donors received DKGIEF Donor and DKGIEF Luminary convention ribbons to
wear. On the Foundation web page, members will find a complete list, organized by DKGIEF Donor Recognition
Level, of the individuals, chapters, and state organizations who contributed to DKGIEF.
See page 13 to learn more about how you can maximize your contributions to DKGIEF.
Attendees enjoyed a rockin’ night at Bobby McKey’s Dueling Piano Bar.
