Arts & Humanities Jury
that reflect and represent the customs and values around the world. We invite
artists who live in all areas of the Society to submit culturally based art to allow
members to experience cultures and ethnicities not their own. Guidelines also
allow languages other than English (with an English translation) to be used in
writing. The creative endeavors displayed in the DKG Art Gallery can increase
our understanding of the human experience, often along with surprise and awe.
The online Art Gallery would not exist without the wonderfully
creative members who participate. Another opportunity to learn more
about participating artists is found in the Arts and Humanities Jury Blog.
The blog is also an inspiration, and some have said it has opened their eyes
to the opportunities for them to submit their own art. Thank you to the
many artists who have participated in the past, those who will contribute
again, and those who have been considering participating for the first time.
Your contributions are enjoyed, appreciated, and enriching for all.
Plans are progressing for a Member Art Gallery at the 2022 DKG
International Convention in New Orleans on Thursday, July 14, and Friday, July
15. The jury will facilitate the gallery by providing information, developing
a submission form, and selecting the artwork. Artists who would like to
bring one item of art to New Orleans can find submission information on the
website dkg.org > Events > Convention. Jury members invite everyone to Cicadas
come and experience the Member Art Gallery in person and with friends. (multimedia) ©
