        of Finland is closely linked to Turku, which is a passenger
        seaport served by many commercial and cruise ships.
            The group will travel by high-speed train from Helsinki
        to Turku, where a local guide will conduct a sightseeing
        tour. They will visit the cathedral, the most important
        religious building of the country, and step inside the
        13th-century granite fortress known as Turku Castle.
            Next is a visit to Tallinn, an old Hanseatic city and
        capital of Estonia. Cruising to Tallinn in the morning, taking
        a guided tour through the city center, and enjoying free
        time to discover the city at one’s leisure will be included.   Tallinn from Toompea

            The next morning the tour ends in Helsinki. For the
        extended 10-day tour, the group continues to Russia.
        St. Petersburg

            St. Petersburg is considered Russia’s cultural capital.
        With its UNESCO-protected historic center and the
        Hermitage Museum, the city more than earns the title.
            The group will go by train and pass the Karelia
        region, a romantic land of lakes, rivers, and canals, before
        reaching St. Petersburg. After arriving, they will choose
        a free evening or a Russian theatre show and dinner.
            On the second day, a local guide will provide a
        sightseeing tour of Palace Square, one of Europe’s
        great meeting places; travelers will walk through the
        Peter and Paul Fortress and Cathedral Church.
            The tour will drive down Newsky Prospekt, a tree-lined
        boulevard, and visit the ornate Church of the Savior on       Peter and Paul Fortress

        more than 3 million pieces of art in the Hermitage Museum.
            Travelers can spend the third day on their own
        or add an excursion to Peterhof, the former summer
        residence of the Russian tsars, about 30 kilometers
        west of St. Petersburg. After a farewell drink with the
        group in the evening, participants will be transferred to
        the airport for their flights home the next morning.
            The Non-dues Revenue Committee encourages members
        to go on this fantastic trip, which will take place after the
        2023 DKG International Convention in Tampere, Finland.
