we must rely on chapters and state organizations to put in place the recommendations of Avenue M. Here is

where the Logic Model that state organization leaders created last summer in Irving, Texas, comes into full
view. As you, our chapter and state organization member leaders, evaluate your progress over the past year,
how will you measure success, re-evaluate the plan, and perhaps delete or add new goals and objectives? Your
International Administrative Board members are here to support you as you move forward with your plans. We
need YOU to make these plans work. Chapters have always been the grassroots of the success of this Society.
If not now, then when?
The International Leadership Development and Golden Gift Fund Committee is busy working with
headquarters staff and the University of Texas, Austin, leadership team to plan the 2024 DKG Ignite experience.
Twenty women and three alternates were chosen to be individual representations of the entire Society at this

weeklong, life-changing experience. The dates of Ignite are July 14-21, 2024, and the event will be held at the
UT Austin campus.
As we navigate these transitions, we look forward to the events of convention. Here, we will approve
amendments that open the doors to the future and will welcome newly elected leaders who will offer strategies
for growth. This is an exciting time, indeed! As stewards of the organization and its sustainability, your voices
are critical. I hope you consider joining us in National Harbor this July.
