This is also the time when your incoming officers are being elected. Please ensure you send us your updated
officer information so we can update our records accordingly and ensure that new officers receive vital DKG

information. Additionally, mark your calendars and inform your officers to attend the 2025 State Organization
Leadership Training (SOLT), scheduled for July 29 – July 31, 2025, at the Sheraton New Orleans in New Orleans,
LA. This event is a wonderful opportunity for leaders to connect, learn, and prepare for their roles within DKG.
Please submit your new officers’ information using the online submission form, which will be sent to the current
state organization leadership. The form will also be available on the DKG website.
We are also thrilled to announce the 2025 International Conference, which will immediately follow SOLT
at the Sheraton New Orleans, from July 31 – August 2, 2025. In the previous issue, International President Dr.
Beverly Hall-Maughan introduced the conference theme: Building Our Next Century Together. Focused breakout
sessions will include:

• Beyond Second Century DKG: Building sustainability and societal relevance.
• Human Connections/Social Networking: Building meaningful interactions, relationships, and networking.
• Purposeful Leading: Building leaders for the future.
• Passion Projects: Building well-being through physical, musical, craft, or interactive activities.
Regular sessions will run for 60 minutes, while Passion Projects will feature 20-minute interactive sessions
to encourage socialization and activity. Members can look forward to engaging opportunities like line dancing,
chair yoga, arts and crafts, singalongs, and other activities designed to get attendees moving while learning

something new.
Another key initiative for 2025 is the work of the Revision Task Force. This group will be gathering input from
members in various ways, including town halls, as they revise the governing documents. This is a wonderful
opportunity for members to share their thoughts and voice their opinions to help shape the future of DKG, so be
on the lookout for details about how you can participate.
