Jan/Feb 2025 | Vol. 82 No. 1

From IEF p. 7 Twenty-one years later, the 2018-2020 Golden Gift Fund Committee conducted an in-
depth review of the Leadership Management Seminar structure and costs, concluding that the program was not
sustainable without significant changes. In response to member feedback and with the goal of preserving the

seminar for the long term, the program was reimagined. It was shortened to a one-week format, held every two
years, registration fee raised to $600, and renamed DKG Ignite: Leaders Empowering Leaders Program. This
revitalized version maintains the high quality of the original seminar. The inaugural DKG Ignite program took
place in 2022, continuing to enhance and enrich leadership training for future leaders within the Society and the
        profession.
Leadership seminars supported by Golden Gift have become a beloved experience that develops leaders
and makes a lasting impact on many lives. Despite this, the future of the Golden Gift Fund is uncertain due to
funding restrictions, rising seminar costs, and a decline in donations to this fund. Currently, there are sufficient
funds to support the 2026 DKG Ignite program, but beyond that, the fund urgently needs a substantial boost to

        continue its valuable impact.
This is where you can make a difference. The DKGIEF Board of Directors invites you to support this
invaluable leadership initiative by making a contribution to the Golden Gift Fund. Every donation, regardless of
the size, brings us closer to ensuring that DKG Ignite can continue to thrive, providing personal and professional
leadership growth to DKG members. Donations can be made at any time on the DKGIEF website.
Together, we can ensure that DKG Ignite continues to shine brightly for future DKG leaders. By donating
to the Golden Gift Fund, you’re not only sustaining this program but also supporting a legacy of leadership

development and lasting connections. Let’s keep DKG Ignite thriving for the leaders of tomorrow.
