Participants also mentioned that joining a DKG Visionary Network group connected them with DKG

members that shared common interests from across the Society. Donna Butler of Alabama, a participant in the
Conversational Spanish group, noted:
“Participation in Conversational Spanish will not only help me to maintain and improve my speaking
skills in Spanish but will also allow me to become acquainted with other DKG members from
different regions.”
Members find support and encouragement through DKG Visionary Network groups. Stephanie Jones of
Mississippi is currently participating in two groups: Family Caregivers and Conversational Spanish. In regard to
her “why” for participating in the Family Caregivers group, she says:
“Participating in both groups that I joined will enrich my life. In the case of the Family Caregivers

group, I will have some much-needed support. The group will be a place where I can speak freely
about my struggles as a family caregiver.”

The spring/summer cycle of
DKG Visionary Network groups
is forming now. Applications for

topics were due March 1, 2025.
Group topics and facilitators
will be announced April 1, 2025,
and the projected start date
for groups is mid-May 2025.
Groups will be announced and
advertised on DKG.org and on DKG’s social media channels. Members are strongly encouraged to review the

available choices and join a group that piques their interest. DKG Visionary Network groups provide a valuable
member benefit, offering opportunities to strengthen skills, deepen insights, and foster connections with DKG
