assessing how the organization functions in critical areas such as

For example, since the founding of DKG, there have been numerous technological advancements. It
would be beneficial to assess our current membership processes to determine whether we should continue
relying solely on existing members to invite new ones or explore new tools and platforms that allow
potential members to apply for membership directly. Another important consideration might be exploring
a different approach to planned leadership, such as introducing a president-elect position to facilitate
a smoother transition of leaders. This could promote long-term planning and stability in the event of
unexpected presidential departures due to illness, resignation, or other reasons. These two examples
illustrate the importance of thoroughly reviewing and analyzing each article and section of our governing
documents to evaluate their alignment with our current organizational needs.

Why refer to the governing documents as International Bylaws
instead of the Constitution and International Standing Rules?

The term “constitution” refers to a formal document that remains consistent with the Articles of
Incorporation and Charter, meaning it does not change (NAP, 2023). In contrast, the term “international
bylaws” is more in line with the practices of similar nonprofit organizations that function globally.
