Draft Creation: Based on member feedback and review
of each article of the current governing documents, the Revision Task Force will prepare a preliminary
draft of the newly constructed International Bylaws to share with the entire membership for review. The
task force will provide presentations to members, offering an overview of the bylaws and addressing any
concerns. Members will have access to the preliminary draft by December 2025, allowing ample time
for further review and input. After considering the perspectives of all members and making additional
updates, the final draft of the International Bylaws will be presented by the Revision Task Force at the
International Convention in Aurora, Colorado, in July 2026.
Consideration: Members will have an additional opportunity to provide suggestions when the final
draft is presented to the membership for approval during the business meeting at the 2026 International
Convention. There are two methods for reviewing the final draft: (a) seriatim consideration and (b) non-
seriatim consideration. The “recommended method for reviewing revisions is seriatim” consideration,
where articles are examined point by point (RONR, 28:4, 57:6). Seriatim consideration is conducted
section by section and is fully open to amendments, provided they do not conflict with the Articles of
Incorporation (NAP, 2023). The following is a basic outline of how seriatim consideration works:
