setting—for personal and/or professional growth, not just for DKG. This area will house the many
resources— particularly videos—that already exist and have been contributed by Society members and/
or committees. A separate tab will lead to outside resources—generally materials from key speakers at
conventions/conferences and partners of DKG. [Note: The 2022–2024 Administrative Board is working
on a Leadership Centre that will expand, complement, or possibly supplant ideas currently embedded in
Leadership Lab.]

Other Key Tabs: MyDKG
Simply put, this tab is where a member will come to interact with the Society—to focus on her
individual involvement and activities. The website redesign acknowledges that, in order for a member
to interact with and take full advantage of her DKG membership, she must “see” the importance of
the MyDKG profile tab. MyDKG should be first and foremost for each member as she strives to be an
engaged member. In one or two clicks, a member can apply for funding, submit applications, join a
community of like-minded members, and connect with chapters and leaders across the Society.
To look at it another way, a member might ask:
• How can I change my personal information (address/phone/etc.)?
Answer: Edit information under your landing page in MyDKG.
• How can I find other members in DKG?
Answer: Search the member directory under MyDKG.
• Where can I engage other members on topics of interest?
Answer: Check communities under MyDKG.
• If I am an officer, where can I access and work with dynamic information about
members (dues, etc.)?
Answer: Interact with that information in the Dashboard segment of MyDKG.
• How can I apply for a position, award, or benefit—or submit an article or other
creative work? DKG Fine Arts
Answer: Go to Apply/Submit under MyDKG! Gallery Icon

Last But Not Least: Events, Publications/Documents, Media Resources, and About

Article length prevents going through each of the remaining key tabs in detail, but the hope is
that you can see the logic behind the final four tabs, which are essentially informational. Where do I
look to learn about upcoming events? Events tab. Where can I find key documents and publications?
Publications/Documents tab. Where can I find resources to help me create materials for my chapter or state
organization? Media Resources tab. And where can I find information about DKG and contacts if needed to
help with information? About tab.

Nonmember Website

The WRTeam also developed a corollary nonmember website that emphasizes marketing information
and should be useful to attract and inspire new members and others who support the mission and vision
of DKG. The draft of the nonmember site map shows that it offers only a portion of what the member
site provides—and is organized as a primary marketing tool for those interested in learning about DKG,
becoming a member of DKG, and donating to various DKG initiatives.
The nonmember website for DKG is and will be available to anyone browsing the Internet and does
not require a password as does the member website. The design thinking (user-focused, user-friendly)
used for the member site was also applied to this separate nonmember website: Who is coming to the
nonmember site and what does that individual need to know?
The About tab is moved to the primary position at the left and includes informative content that
