3. Start a School Supply Drive
In past disasters, entire schools have been destroyed, leaving teachers without the supplies they need to restart
their classrooms. DKG chapters and state organizations have organized school supply drives in the past, and
these efforts have made a significant impact by helping schools in their local communities get back on their
feet. Starting a school supply drive in your area can once again help restock classrooms and support teachers
as they rebuild their learning environments.
I know our members take action when it matters most, and I want to thank you in advance for the care and
effort you will put forth. Whether through donations, volunteering, or organizing drives, I am confident that
together we can make a real difference in the lives of those affected by these storms.
Thank you again for your unwavering dedication and for being a part of this incredible society. Together, we
will continue to promote the professional and personal growth of women educators and advance excellence in
education. Through this shared mission, we will grow, renew, and make a lasting impact, not only within DKG but
also in the communities in which we live and serve.
