Emergency Fund - Members may find they have sustained
significant losses from a hurricane, tornado, wildfire, or other natural
disaster. DKG members’ chapter and state organization presidents
may recommend that those impacted by a natural disaster receive
a U.S. $500 grant from the DKG Emergency Fund.
Tara Teague (Alpha Phi, North Carolina) expressed her gratitude for a grant from the
Emergency Fund following devastation from Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina, “Hurricane Helene
damaged fields on our farm and washed out gullies in our driveway, making it very difficult to access. This
meant we had to act fast to stop further flooding damage to the driveway and maintain access to the fields.
The Emergency Fund allowed us to get new gravel for the driveway so we could safely travel the road. I am
grateful for this fund and appreciate all of the caring sisters who support the fund annually.”
