members as some of the main contributors to this fund. However, chapters and state organizations also
help raise money for World Fellowship in a number of ways.
Several state organizations have fundraisers, share information, and take collections for World
Fellowship at their state conventions. New Mexico State Organization collects at its fall meeting and
Birthday Luncheon. In Illinois, chapters are encouraged to contribute $1 per member to the World
Fellowship Fund. One year, in
Missouri, the state organization’s World
Fellowship Committee researched
several of the recipients and their
countries. They made paper-doll-style
representatives to send to the chapters
in the state along with a program
about that country. The chapters were
encouraged to collect money for World
Fellowship with that program.
Chapters have a variety of ways to
collect money for World Fellowship.
Some have baskets out for donations
at every meeting. Others have raffles
and door prizes. One chapter made a
“Brag Bucket” where members donated
a dollar to brag about something. Some
individuals donate in memory of a
member, for a birthday gift, or as a
Chapter members contribute to a Brag Bucket to raise funds for thank you to someone.

helps DKG provide funds for worthy
women to study in the United States or Canada. With increased knowledge, those women then go on to
impact many lives in their countries around the world. Your giving does make a difference as DKG has
an international impact through its World Fellowship program.
